I guess Prodigio is not playing nice this morning?!
01-26-2013 08:58:04
drirwin
I got same login error as last evening.
01-26-2013 08:58:25
BruceB_RR
I sure wish something would go right for once. :(
01-26-2013 09:20:24

Any communications with Prodigio support this morning? I noticed Prodigio Admin is logged in on the ProdigioRTS website. Not sure who the person is behind that user ID.
01-26-2013 09:29:00
BruceB_RR
I think that is generally Mike's id, but I don't know if it is his exclusively. I did try and send him a text but I have not heard back yet.
01-26-2013 09:45:38
drirwin
OK. I am sure they are working hard on it. Kinda hard for them to get a feel how new code might work without our help stress testing it.
01-26-2013 10:04:29
Steve
hi everyone
See you all jhave the same issue
seems like there is a issue with the the install file
may run a filemon/ regmon to see where the problem is
not much in the error log Started executable C:\Users\Steven\Prodigio_windows.exe at Sat Jan 26 10:07:21 2013 ERROR: Could not open

Anyone know when this is suppose to release for a live optionshouse account instead of paper?
01-26-2013 10:13:46
Steve
Here is the responce I got from them No immediate plans, but our product team is always interested in customer product recos. We appreciate your feedback.
I got the reply Jan.24
I am reinstalling the original install file and seeing if the update off
it looks like the install needs to be run from C:\ drive
not the installed path. I am wondering if uninstalling and a downloading of the new installation file and runing it from the root C:\ may install it?
01-26-2013 10:28:21
BruceB_RR
Just got a text back from Mike, he says that they found the issue and are working on it.
01-26-2013 10:31:50
Door
steve so it wont be live any time soon with OH?
01-26-2013 10:32:53
BruceB_RR
I was told that when this release is stable it would be a couple more weeks after that.
I guess OH is going to be doing their own eval testing also.
01-26-2013 10:45:41
Steve
Door, My Bad.. I pasted the wrong info previously.. Here is the reply I got Jan 23, Work underway. Currently optimizing the experience. No firm launch just yet. Stay tuned. More to come.
There are no immediate plans to add the minus sign between symbols so rules/strategy can be built for pairs trading? ex. GOOG-YHOO
ok everyone, ill check back in a little later to check progress.
01-26-2013 10:58:48
Door
Okay steve thanks!
01-26-2013 11:08:28
cosmo
You would think they would test this in-house over the net before releasing to the wild for us.
01-26-2013 11:12:38
BruceB_RR
I was helping them last week with the auto update stuff, it seemed to be working.
01-26-2013 01:26:02

New version 5.0.14. Had to run launch twice to get it to download correctly and execute. Playing with it now to see how it is working.
01-26-2013 01:27:46
steve
Downloading it now
01-26-2013 01:28:32
BruceB_RR
I'm still getting the media error on the log file.
01-26-2013 01:29:34
steve
me too
Apperas the Prodigiorts site is down
01-26-2013 01:35:10
BruceB_RR
I just texted Mike again with that.
01-26-2013 01:36:13
steve
seems that the autoinstall goes right into it. Shouldnt it give you a prompt to either launch the existing platofrm or proceed with update?
Ill check back later... :)
01-26-2013 01:42:25
BruceB_RR
Mike says that he has the site down for repair.
01-26-2013 01:46:30
steve
thanks
01-26-2013 02:01:54
BruceB_RR
Mike says that they will have the site back up in about a hour and a half.
Once the site is back up try and start Prodigio from the Icon. If that fails then uninstall Prodigio and go to the Your Account page/ download tab and download the installer and run that.
01-26-2013 02:13:36

Looks like I have not missed anything. Sick with a cold and curled up by the woodstove.

Yea the schools are crawing with bugs. A lot of my work is in schools.
01-26-2013 03:02:54
timtom
so after about 30 mins of testing, I find this new version almost less functional for my needs than the last
pretty much everything I was hoping they would fix or return back to how it worked in V.4 is still a no-go
sooo...awesome
01-26-2013 03:09:17
BruceB_RR
I have to take off for a bit, be back in a couple hours I hope.
01-26-2013 03:15:49
steve
The platform is still going through changes
01-26-2013 03:16:57
cosmo
Its working here again. It updated from the desktop icon and started normally. First thing I noticed is that Simulated Portfolio still has to be closed and re-opened to get share rounding active in BT.
01-26-2013 03:19:54
steve
I am still getting the error message.. Did you uninstall the last version or just ran the update?
01-26-2013 03:20:50
cosmo
I clicked the desktop icom and let it fly on it's own.

im going to uninstall and reinstall per Bruce's recommendation
01-26-2013 03:23:54

I think this was the first time an update worked for me just clicking the icon...the way it should work.
Since the major 5.0 rollout.
01-26-2013 03:25:50
steve
i am downloading the latest now. just uninstlled version 5.12
01-26-2013 03:31:13
cosmo
They have not fixed the % Net P/L in BT yet.
01-26-2013 03:31:41
steve
installation complete. need to find my wiz files
going to create new rules
seems like its faster to browse files and modify
01-26-2013 03:57:26
cosmo
A lot faster. I wonder if it was in a debug mode for a while.
01-26-2013 03:58:19
steve
i just created a new pairs scan, backtesting soon
01-26-2013 04:00:35
cosmo
BT seems to be taking me back to the trade on Charts from results
01-26-2013 04:02:07
steve
Seems that the scan worked perfectly
01-26-2013 04:04:48
cosmo
Charts always default to 1min rather than the main ag time of the strat. They do stay put however when you change ag times.
01-26-2013 04:05:14
timtom
so are you all using different rules for entry, add position and exit?
01-26-2013 04:05:58
steve
I pair trade so I have a Entry, stop and target rule for a buy and the same for a sell
01-26-2013 04:06:14
timtom
Im used to using generic exits/targets based on my entry price
01-26-2013 04:07:00
steve
pairs trading is reversion to the mean so my target is the 10 SMA
01-26-2013 04:07:12
timtom
ah
01-26-2013 04:07:43
steve
each trade takes 3 rules and 2 strats
01-26-2013 04:08:02
timtom
that makes sense. I use entry price plus a percentage for my target, which I can't really do anymore in this version, at least not the same way as V.4
01-26-2013 04:08:04
cosmo
On a day chart, Steve
01-26-2013 04:08:12

01-26-2013 04:14:52
cosmo
Do you have to have high correlation to take the trade?
01-26-2013 04:15:06
steve
the strat is based on correlation of 75 or better
01-26-2013 04:15:34
cosmo
So you can scan with Prodigio to filter that?
01-26-2013 04:16:06
steve
the strategy originated from Shadow Trader
01-26-2013 04:16:34
cosmo
What is the average move of a winner or a looser
%
01-26-2013 04:16:47
steve
Tom from Shadowtrader has a video on the sacan he uses, I just set it up from what he had
The avg winner is .5-1 %
01-26-2013 04:18:13
cosmo
So it is less sensitive to wild movements due to the long/short hedge.
01-26-2013 04:18:31
steve
yes.
its a drag to manually do it
but
01-26-2013 04:19:07

What is the average durration of a trade...sounds interesting.
01-26-2013 04:19:12
steve
its a pretty good way to trade
1-3 days
01-26-2013 04:20:06
cosmo
Do you use regular risk management or is it modified do to the hedging you get from the trade?
01-26-2013 04:20:25
steve
ill private chat
01-26-2013 04:35:17
timtom
isn't raw mode supposed to show you every trade that would have occurred during the time period, regardless of any portfolio settings?
Im just testing things, and I'm getting way more hits when I use a small target of +0.05% vs +0.25%, when I think I should get the same number?
01-26-2013 06:03:15
BruceB_RR
Hey guys, how is it going?
01-26-2013 06:11:39
Praying_Mantis
Good! Prodigio loaded nicely.
01-26-2013 06:15:19
BruceB_RR
Cool, So far I have only seen a couple of small things. Mostly dealing with my old rules. I may need to import them again.
The file system seems to be working much better now.
01-26-2013 06:22:29
steve
I lost some rules, but was able to reimport them. Scan is working fine
01-26-2013 06:27:46
BruceB_RR
I think most of what I am seeing is of my own making. I think we need to not organize rules from out side of Prodigio. I had moved a bunch around from File Explorer. There is pathing inside of the files that needs to be kept in sync with where the files are located.
At least now moving files from within the platform seems to be working great.
01-26-2013 06:30:22
steve
I created a Rules folder in the prodigio install path: Prodigio/mywizardlab/Rules
seems to be working great..
01-26-2013 06:31:50
BruceB_RR
I have a few folders too ;)

steve
you have alot more than me
01-26-2013 06:35:00
BruceB_RR
When we were in ver 3 I had over 1100 rules and about 300 strategies
I don't have anywhere near that yet since we didn't get to transfer our ver 3 stuff but.....
01-26-2013 06:37:50
steve
this is it for me...so far

Keeping it a simple as possible. Multiple stra for each pair trade
01-26-2013 06:39:54
BruceB_RR
How often do you trade the same pair
01-26-2013 06:42:47
steve
some pairs are better than others and you can trade the same pair on either side..easy trades
i have over 200 pairs that correlate pretty good. I avoid airlines and biotech
Energy and mining are pretty good
APA -HAL looks to be setting up
i looks for 2 in the same sector that have a correlation of 80 or better. Revision to the mean trades
Reversion
time to feed the dogs.. be back later
01-26-2013 06:49:56
BruceB_RR
Ok
01-26-2013 07:55:24
Praying_Mantis
I read above, RR, that you're having issues with strategies you wrote being located within Prodigio?
01-26-2013 07:59:29
BruceB_RR
The are rules that I wrote and imported into prodigio but moved from within windows
Moving them from within Prodigio works great now.
I can even move rules out of a folder and back into it to correct the problem I created by moving them in windows.
http://i.imgur.com/iYRhQSM.png
So even though I had the top one in the "Sub Rules/LR Slope/" folder it would still have the imports/ location when I dragged it out onto the canvas.
01-26-2013 08:29:31
Praying_Mantis
hmm...
01-26-2013 09:03:37
cosmo
Has anybody tried multistage exits yet?
In BT
01-26-2013 09:04:34
BruceB_RR
In what way, a step out?
01-26-2013 09:05:38
cosmo
Yea where you take quick profit on the 1st 1/2 then let the other run to a strat exit 2 at 100% left
01-26-2013 09:06:32
BruceB_RR
No not yet.
01-26-2013 09:06:53
cosmo
I guess I will give it a whirl
I just noticed that my exits that don't carry past the day of the trade open are set as Day orders. I wonder if that explains the reason why my trades have not been closing on following days?
I don't remember having to set GTC on 4.0
01-26-2013 09:21:50
BruceB_RR
That was one of the questions Mike had asked me. I almost always set to GTC though and I was seeing the same.
01-26-2013 09:22:39
cosmo
I don't have any screen shots of 4.0 exits in SB to remember
01-26-2013 09:25:26
BruceB_RR
I was also talking to him about making the Exit rules act more like Flags. So they could be fired and cancled and fired again if the conditions were correct again. And EOD might be what canceld the order.
But a re-trigger of the exit rule would re-fire the order.
01-26-2013 09:28:34
cosmo
I guess I don't understand why you would want one to fire twice unless your 2nd target was not met and the 1st target would act to insure at the 1st target was met by both parts of the holding.
at least
01-26-2013 09:30:26
BruceB_RR
One reason would be to have different Risks assigned to the exits and use different Trailing Stops with each.
01-26-2013 09:31:51
cosmo
I build my stops and targets into the same rule. I just use 2 of them...or try to if they start to work.
01-26-2013 09:34:35
BruceB_RR
Another would be with your stepping in and out. You could close out a parcial order with the same rule. I was also thinking of position traders that want to add to a position in some trends and remove positions in other trends. If the Exit or Add To rules could be reset, that would be easy to do then.
01-26-2013 09:36:17
cosmo
As in ratcheting
01-26-2013 09:36:44
BruceB_RR
Exactly :)
01-26-2013 09:38:25
cosmo
YEa that would be good for that. I tend to just let the entry strat watch for the next setup. I have not tried adding to orders as I'm interestend in getting in and out of a trade over just a few days.
I just want to take a quick profit on the 1st 1/2 to lower my risk and make my stop looser.
01-26-2013 09:40:42
BruceB_RR
And that is what I do also. But I have talked to quite a few that want to trade around a position and don't want to learn options.
01-26-2013 09:40:43
cosmo
Losses are very low on a good strat and the wins are still pretty good if you get a runner
I wouls rather hedge with options...they are very usefull. Some that can't daytrade use them to carry a winning trade to the next day.
would
01-26-2013 09:42:49
BruceB_RR
Have you thought about turning that around and get in small and then double the postion at your first target?
If you have a loser you don't lose much, a runner in you get in again.
01-26-2013 09:44:29
cosmo
Depending on the market conditions some trades (sometimes a lot if the general market does not cooperate) only make the 1st target.
I try to buy the bottom of the book and set stops on the 1st target close
Loosen up on the 2nd one
I'm either right or right-out on the 1st exit
01-26-2013 09:50:39
BruceB_RR
A few of my strats work that way. Sometimes more losers but the runners make up for them.
01-26-2013 09:52:51
cosmo
Like in Vegas the money is made by your risk management. You don't even have to have 50% winners. I have been using options with open interest over 1k at a strike just out of the money.
I like options I can get for less than $1
Enter in multiples of 2
If the stock blows up or spikes like crazy your risk is limited. I don't like owning stock.
Except to daytrade
01-26-2013 09:56:42
BruceB_RR
:)
01-26-2013 09:56:51
cosmo
There are about 350 good options stocks to work from.

Unable to add from available strategies: Edit RTS Strateggies
01-27-2013 04:34:41
Door
Steve I am not able to add any strategies to RTS either..
01-27-2013 05:17:09
BruceB_RR
I'm finding that strategies that don't load have errors in them. Check all of the rules for errors. Make sure all of the rules are in the proper folder. If the Strategy will not open in SB to edit you may need to rebuild it. I seem to have several in this catagory also.
If you have moved Rules or Strategies from your machines operating systems file manager you will have broken the paths that are stored inside the files. You can move the rules from within the Prodigio folder system and they will correct them selves.
Going back to bed :)
01-27-2013 07:34:41
steve
Strategy templates dont add either. going to reinstall
uninstalled from add/remove programs, then renamed Prodigio folder under profile, renamed .mpower folder. Reinstalled from new download file.. Same issue

Hmmm, I am seeing the same thing now. It was working for me when I first got this update.
I'm thinking that this might be a server side issue.

Good morning! It's good to see the faithful sitting in the front pews this morning.
Does anyone else have a ghost strat appearing in their TO list? I have a strat that I haven't deployed in TO for weeks, continue to show up. I delete it out of the list one day and it shows up back there again the next. No harm, just a nusence.

Yeah, I seem to be seeing the samething you are now. I sent in a report.
01-27-2013 11:01:27
steve
You think its server side?
01-27-2013 11:04:05
BruceB_RR
I think maybe. I do think that it is a verification issue. Why rules that should be good to go though.....
???
01-27-2013 11:05:02
steve
I have noticed that certain directories are not stroed on the local machine
01-27-2013 11:05:27
BruceB_RR
I am able to backtest so at least some of the server side is working.
01-27-2013 11:05:50
steve
i am able to run a scan and create rules and strats
i wonder if the code for the "add" process to occur is broke?
i can open a strat and it shows up in the description
01-27-2013 11:08:49
BruceB_RR
I'm not following you?
01-27-2013 11:10:39
steve
the add button
i do not know what the code makes calls to.
01-27-2013 11:14:18
BruceB_RR
Ah, ok I see what you are saying. I am pretty sure that when you hit "Add" that it trys to verify that the strategy is valid.
01-27-2013 11:14:57
steve
i have created strats from rules templates, same issue
01-27-2013 11:15:00
BruceB_RR
I think that that verification is broken somehow.
01-27-2013 11:18:16

i hope whatever it is doesnt slow down folder/ file enumeration
very satisifed with the speed

01-27-2013 01:28:58
whirlly
Had to uninstall and reinstall to get the latest update to work. Problem is now, it can't load any of my rules that I have been working years on.
The original location of the files was c:\users\jeff\prodigio\mywizardlab
Now after the reinstall, it's looking for that whole directory within the same name
"c:users\jeff\prodigio\mywizardlab\c:\users\jeff\prodigio\mywizardlab" not found
even when i manually put the rules in the exact same place, prodigio is looking for that whole directory within the first whole duplicate path.
anybody have ideas? i don't want to lose years of work because of thier latest upgrade, even trying to import again says file error
01-27-2013 01:33:28
BruceB_RR
Hmmm, I have been finding that stuff that I moved manually has problems with paths within the rules not working.
What kind of error are you getting with the import?
01-27-2013 01:35:09
whirlly
when i do the import the .wiz file just say error loading file
and when i do the rules, i get the same path type of error
everything was workign fine until few days ago when they started to do the update
01-27-2013 01:37:00

which update, the original 5.0 update or the one yesterday to 5.14
5.0.14

just very distressing when something they do on their end destroys stuff u've been working years on

No, you are the first I've seen with this. So far the only issue seems to be with loading Strategies into RTS and TO. But WizLab seems much improved. especially the file system.
01-27-2013 01:40:31
whirlly
problem is the file is tied to a certain path
so i'ts looking for that whole directory, within the same name, but i cant' manually move it
because i guess it's embedded in the file
01-27-2013 01:41:48
BruceB_RR
I have found A couple of files that had the embedded name wrong (and I think I did that)
I was able to edit the name in the file with a text editor, but might not be for everyone.
01-27-2013 01:43:42
whirlly
probably, but when you have years of rules, i dont want to edit 100 files, when it's something that was changed all at once
01-27-2013 01:45:27
BruceB_RR
Did you try getting a new import file from them? "Email Rules/Strategies"
01-27-2013 01:49:45
whirlly
im trying that right now
but i would lose all work i've done since using 5.0
01-27-2013 01:50:42
cosmo
Two stage exits still only recognize the 1st exit and close the trade 100% even though the setting on the 1st stage is 50%
The 1st stage location is correct however
01-27-2013 01:51:17
whirlly
ok, just reimported from 4.0, i get the same error, still looking for that whole directory, wihin the same directory
01-27-2013 01:51:49
BruceB_RR
I just imported a old .wiz file fine.
01-27-2013 01:52:14
cosmo
Worked for me when I first did it too
01-27-2013 01:52:16
whirlly
i think your file path is probably fine and in sync
01-27-2013 01:52:38
BruceB_RR
What OS?
01-27-2013 01:52:52
whirlly
since my file path is now trying to find the whole directory within the same old directory, nothing is working
windows 7
perhaps if i didnt reinstall the program
01-27-2013 01:54:13
BruceB_RR
I was thinking that you might need to uninstall and reinstall again.
01-27-2013 01:54:16
whirlly
but i get the feeling it was happening before, the day before the upgrade i got a message, file not found, so i thought it had something to do w/ the upgrade so installed it anyway they were just working on the new version
i uninstalled 3 times, each time w/ more detail
the last time, i uninstalled, then went to the regedit and deleted anything todo w/ prodigio for a clean install
then rebooted and reinstalled
but it's still looking for the same directory, within the original name's directory
01-27-2013 01:56:11
BruceB_RR
Have you tried to make a new rule?
01-27-2013 01:56:51
whirlly
hmm just tried now
c:\users\jeff\prodigio\mywizardlab\C:\users\jeff\prodigio\mywizardlab\rules\z.wlr" does not have file=system write permission
but i dunno if it's because of actual permissions
or because it's trying to create a directory called c: you cant' create a directory w/ a : in it
01-27-2013 01:59:19
BruceB_RR
That seems like something in the regestry is amiss.
Try doing the uninstall from the uninstaller in the Prodigio program directory
01-27-2013 02:00:26
whirlly
something in prodigio keeps thinking i want to put that whole path within this new path
ok, is that uninstall different than the one from windows control panel?
01-27-2013 02:01:58
BruceB_RR
Not sure. but maybe since it is a Java program.
01-27-2013 02:02:59
whirlly
ok let me reboot to try to get a clean install. thanks will be back
01-27-2013 02:05:58
cosmo
I use Registry Mechanic and there are some free programs out there also.
Kim Komando has a list
She is in your town, RR
01-27-2013 02:07:35
BruceB_RR
I used to listen to her on the radio once in awhile :)
01-27-2013 02:09:11
whirlly
ok reinstalled and tried again
same error
it's looking for the files in a different directory than it's in
01-27-2013 02:10:27
BruceB_RR
In the same directory as before?
double pathed
01-27-2013 02:11:12
whirlly
yes, looking for the same path as it orignially was saved, but now within my current path
so for example c:\prodigio\c:\prodigio for example
where the original woudl have been just c:\prodigio
01-27-2013 02:14:42
BruceB_RR
I think you have some path name in the registry that has gotten doubled somehow. You might try Cosmo's registry cleaner idea.
01-27-2013 02:17:28
whirlly
yea i dunno, 2 years and few thousands hours of work gone if i cant get it back. could be the final straw
01-27-2013 02:18:52
BruceB_RR
Have you opened one of the .wlr files in NotePad?
01-27-2013 02:19:06
whirlly
yes
didnt really examine it too much
01-27-2013 02:19:32
BruceB_RR
Does the path issue show up in them?
01-27-2013 02:20:21
whirlly
i dont see any path in there
i guess i'll call them tomorrow to see if anything they can do
01-27-2013 02:21:35
BruceB_RR
It should be shortened to below the mywizardlab\
<name>Master Rules Long/Ahso Ashi(D,id) Long R8q.wlr</name>
Master Rules Long is one directory below the mywizardlab folder
01-27-2013 02:23:14
whirlly
nothign like that is in there
01-27-2013 02:23:15
cosmo
I keep trying to eliminate the 2nd exit rule in SB and every time I hit save the screen refreshes with the same 2 stage exit. I can't get it to change.
Clicking on the X on the 2nd exit box makes it go away...but it comes back as soon as I hit save.
01-27-2013 02:25:27
whirlly
tried another file, it only shows the file name, and the current path it's in, but not where prodigio is looking for it
01-27-2013 02:26:28
BruceB_RR
You mean it doesn't have the full C:/.......
01-27-2013 02:26:49
whirlly
correct
01-27-2013 02:27:22
BruceB_RR
Then I think your work is ok, or at least as ok as it was before the update.
01-27-2013 02:27:35
whirlly
yeah im sure the file itself is fine
but accessing it, is the headache
01-27-2013 02:27:52
BruceB_RR
I think it is a pathing issue somewhere.
01-27-2013 02:27:59
cosmo
If I eliminate both of the exits...the 2nd one goes away and the 1st one comes back.
01-27-2013 02:28:05
whirlly
right, i'll call them tomorrow
i appreciate your hard work Bruce
01-27-2013 02:28:21
BruceB_RR
Ok, probably best
Thanks
01-27-2013 02:28:29

Try to clean your regestry
registry
01-27-2013 02:28:48

just disheartening that they can roll these things out w/o testing
most places, u keep ur stable platform, and the new version is just for tests
im just afraid i cant trust them going forwards anymore
01-27-2013 02:31:57
BruceB_RR
They told someone that this will be the only update that isn't tested concurent to a stable release. I hope they are right.
01-27-2013 02:33:00
whirlly
yes i hope so, and thanks for being a great link outlet to them
i think i was the one that asked them that last time, but whether they have the resources or not, we won't know yet
01-27-2013 02:34:59
BruceB_RR
Cosmo, I think I deleted a exit earler today and it seemed ok. I will try it again.
01-27-2013 02:36:38
cosmo
It had been working flawlessly except for not doing the 2-stage exit correct. I'm going to also try the Absolute Time/Date close again to see if it is working again yet.
I just tried to Add the Abolute to the strat in SB and it will not take upon clicking save...the Exit 2 goes away.
absolute
It won't accept it as an OR to exit 1 either
I went back to RB and resaved the original entry strat. The Absolute exit now shows up in SB as an OR to the base exit...I'll run and see what happens
01-27-2013 02:47:05
BruceB_RR
I just deleted a exit again and it was fine also.
01-27-2013 02:48:28
cosmo
It seemed to be related to my having to save the original entry again. I wonder if we still have the validation problem again. THe odd part is the rule was not red in RB.
01-27-2013 02:50:09
steve
hey everyone
01-27-2013 02:50:23
cosmo
haudi
The absolute time did not close the trades. My date was set for the 25th...the BT should accept that since we are 2 days past?
SB is not accepting the absolute date close dropped into the 2nd exit...I'll run again.
now accepting
The trades were not closed. I also noticed that after changing the date to the 24th in RB and saving...the strat is now red in SB.
It goes to yellow if I then save in SB
01-27-2013 03:07:08
BruceB_RR
Interesting, so maybe trying to tell you something has changed?
01-27-2013 03:08:11
cosmo
I have no idea at this point...its trial and error....many :(
I feel that the exit side of management still needs a lot of work. It worked pretty well in 4.
A time setting would always close where you set it.
It works on the 24th...I just got back results. I wonder if it has to be 1 day or more previous to the last active market day to work in BT.
01-27-2013 03:13:09
BruceB_RR
I was thinking that it could be something like that. Have they added Fri's data yet.
01-27-2013 03:14:25
cosmo
The strat I'm running does not get many hits and the last was JCP on 1-14-13 12:12 for 18.01
It closed it on the 24th 1 min past the set time.
I'm not certain however it seems the close order needs to be set for Target Market to work. SB seems to be normal now so it would appear the problem is the validation issue we have been having in RB.
01-27-2013 03:29:19
BruceB_RR
My RB seems much better now. I have everything moved into a sub folder now. Moving them withing Prodigio's file system works well, and corrects most of the pathing issues I was having in the last update.
01-27-2013 03:37:41
cosmo
The It looks like both exits (target and time) are working together. The trades close if they hit target before time and close at time if they are still open at that point. I'll have to try the 2 stage exit again to see if that now works.
I put the two main exit rules together again with the time exit and it skipped the exit rules and only closed the trades by the time rule. Staged exits look like they are not being accepted and skipped to the time exit. The profit value shows the total # of shares carried to the time close where 1/2 of them should have been taken off before the time close took place.

Later traders. Have a good night !
