Good Morning
Bruce you mentioned sometimes the order reverses itsself. I was looking at Order Entry and that is what it appears to be. order fires off and then revesrses
within a few seconds.. That could be a problem ;)
of course bypassing the exit rules

It is generally the exits that seemed to cause the reversal. What was happening is when your exit strategy has more then one exit described. Like having a rule exit and a Stop. One would trigger and fill getting you out of the trade, they other should have canceled but ends up hanging around until it also fills taking you short if you original strat was long.

Morning all. Any word from support when exit issue might be resolved. I thought it was fixed Tuesday when I had several positions exit that were purchased on Monday. Since then, I have had several more that should have exited but did not.

Have not heard when, but that they are working on it.
I got one.
Anyone have a strat that sets a Stop in the Entry tab,
02-07-2013 10:24:42
steve
not me

Then try moving the stop on the Chart, Drag-N-Drop style.
Anyway if someone could try that. I would like to see if someone can repeat what I am seeing. You will know what I am seeing when it happens because the Stop does not end up where you move it to.
Just adding a stop to a position and moving it around on the Chart work just fine. It is one that was set from a Strategy that I am seeing do this.

No swing trades closed on stops today. They all blew past where they should have closed so it would appear overnight is broken again.
Stops are part of a calculated exit strat
No fixed stops

I am seeing the same thing, Cosmo. I called support and sent them screen shots of positions that should have closed along with the TO screen showing where it correctly identified the exit point. My strat has been running since Monday. If closed swing trades correctly on Tuesday, but has not closed any since.

They were working a few days ago so something broke again.

Why do I get so many hits in TO after rules have been hit? is this normal?
02-07-2013 01:03:21
BruceB_RR
TO is going to show you every time the Strategy fires, unless you give it a cool down period.

steve
thanks
that still works :)
testing out exits
why do completed trades fire again?
in RTS Strategies?
02-07-2013 03:44:57
BruceB_RR
Fire again as in find a new entry point after it exited once?
You might try setting the Max Number of Trades per Symbol to 1 in settings.
02-07-2013 03:46:48
steve
same entry point
same exit in one strat
Max Number of Trades per Symbol set to 3
when I had it set to one I was unabl;e to trade that pair again
Ill set Max Number of Trades per Symbol to 1.
On a good note I was able to get the entry and exit rule to fire off on a pair
next is to add a both a stop & target to the exit
if that works im golden
02-07-2013 03:52:57
BruceB_RR
Yeah, the Max Number of Trades per Symbol is trades per day http://rr-corner.squarespace.com/advanced-manual/2011/11/1/settings-tab.html
