CSI

CSI

Prodigio Description:
A composite indicator calculated by multiplying the ADXR (Average Directional Movement Rating) and the ATR (Average True Range) by a constant that incorporates the move value, commission and margin.  The CSI selects commodities that are suitable for short term trading (those with high CSI values).

Further Explanation:

The CSI study as designed by Welles Wilder and is discribed in his book "New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems", is used to define which commodities are suitable for short-term trading. The larger CSI value suggests the stronger trend and volatility characteristics. The Directional Movement factor brings these characteristics in the calculation, the volatility characteristic by the Average True Range factor.
