How to import Prodigio data into Tradervue

I saw a question in the ProdigioRTS forum asking about how to export data from Prodigio so that it can be imported into Tradervue for further analysis.

I had not heard about Tradervue at that time so I decided to head over to and take a look.  I signed up for a basic account and with a couple of missteps I figured out how to import the data using their generic importer.  Then I went back and answered the question in the forum.

About that time the founder of Tradervue Greg Reinacker, contacted me to see if he could be of any assistance.

Ha, I had been caught :-)  So I fessed up and told him that I was just researching a question someone had and gave him the link to the forum question so he could take a look and check my answer.  In a few further emails Greg said he had seen other requests asking about how to import data from Prodigio and he was interested in making a template to make it easier.

After brainstorming for a several more emails we came up with the following process :-)

To import data from Prodigio RTS, follow these steps:

  1. In Prodigio RTS, open a Trade History report, and filter to the dates you want to export.

  2. Right-click on the report header, and select "Reset to Default" to set the default columns

  3. Copy all of the data in the report by clicking in the report and pressing Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on Mac) and then Ctrl+C (Cmd+C).

  4. Paste into the data box on the left by clicking in the data field, and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V), and click Upload.

Enjoy all the analytic power of Tradervue.

Bonus:  Greg and I will be doing a live Google Hangout on Tuesday, July 23 after the market closes at 4:30pm.  Come see Greg show us what we can get from Tradervue.
